Late Night Gimp Fight
Late Night Gimp Fight aka; David Moon (Single Gimp), Paul Biggin (Actor Gimp), Matt Ralph (Jock Gimp) and Lee Griffiths (Head Gimp) formed in November 2008 and have played to audiences all over the UK and Ireland.
In 2010 they were nominated for the Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and went on to win the Chortle Award for Best Character of Sketch Act in February 2011.
Following this, in March 2011 ‘The Gimps’ hosted Durex’s One Night Stand-up competition at the Soho Theatre which sought to find a new stand-up comedian.
July later that year saw Late Night Gimp Fight complete a hugely successful two week run at the Soho Theatre earning themselves 4 star reviews from noted reviewers, The Times and Metro.
Carrying on with this success, the group achieved a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2011 receiving a 5 star review from Chortle.
In addition to their noted achievements in both London and Edinburgh, the summer of 2011 also saw the group perform at a number of music festivals across the country including Latitude, Reading, Leeds and Bestival.
Finishing a hugely successful year, Late Night Gimp Fight were named sixth best gig of the year in Steve Bennet’s Chortle ‘Top Ten Gigs of 2011’ list in December.
Kicking off 2012, the group completed another sold out, three week run at the Soho Theatre in April.
In June 2012, Late Night Gimp Fight made their television debut on Britain Unzipped (BBC Three).
August saw them complete another successful Edinburgh run along with being invited back to the music festival season where they played Latitude, Reading, Leeds and Bestival again.
To finish the year Late Night Gimp Fight will take their new Christmas themed show to the Soho Theatre.
