Manchester based Justin Moorhouse is a talented stand-up comedian, writer, actor, radio presenter and, most importantly, a household name in his native North West. Justin’s exuberant, larger than life personality and cheeky northern charm has allowed him to build a reputation on the live comedy circuit.
Justin’s debut solo show Local Knowledge – ‘The Smallest Tour in the World’ toured the North West in 2004 earning him a nomination for Best Comedy Performance at the Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards. He took to the road again in 2006 with his second show ‘The Difficult Second Tour’ and 2007 saw him making his debut at the Edinburgh Festival with his third solo show ‘Who’s The Daddy?’
He returned in 2008 with ‘Justin Moorhouse’s Ever Decreasing Social Circle’ and his 2010 show, ‘The Boiled Egg On The Beach’ earned him rave reviews. To those all around the country, Justin Moorhouse is probably best known for his role as Young Kenny in Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights and its spin-off Max and Paddy’s Road To Nowhere.
Those in the North West will also know Justin for his work as a DJ on Manchester’s Key 103 radio station. His show has been nominated for a Sony Award (radio’s most prestigious award ceremony) and Justin himself has earned nominations for DJ of the Year at the Sony Awards and Presenter of the Year at the Commercial Radio Awards.
Justin has also written for television and radio, with credits including the 11 O’Clock Show, 8 Out Of 10 Cats the comedy drama for Radio 4 An Insurance Inspector Calls. If you thought that was enough, Justinstarred in the highly acclaimed film Looking For Eric.
