Yewande “Andi” Osho (born 27 January 1973 in Plaistow, London, England) is a British stand-up comedian and actor born to Nigerian parents. Having previously worked in television production, Osho turned to acting in 2003. By 2006 she had decided to go into stand-up comedy. She spent a number of years working as a receptionist by day, while perfecting her stand-up comedy routine in the evenings.
In three short years, Andi has made a big splash on the comedy scene, with much talked about appearances on Mock The Week, Tonightly and most recently Ch4’s new topical show, Stand Up For The Week. Having reached the final of no less than five major new talent competitions in her first year, Osho is definitely regarded as one to watch. As well as an established performer on the stand up circuit, Andi is proving to be a popular guest on radio and TV for her cheeky, quick wit and effervescence. Only this year her appearances included several guest spots on Radio 1, Big Brother’s Big Mouth and Little Brother (E4) and The Culture Show (BBC2).
